Re-writes are a slow tedious business. Even when inspired it's painstaking. A little finagle in the prologue and all this other stuff has to change. Not like a ripple. Not some lovely pastural lake and shit. No pain in the ass anal-retentive snail paced editing. Each beat each phrase each assumption has to be looked at again. Truths become lies and facts that held a scene together look obvious and gimmicky. Don't get me wrong I love a good gimmick but it shouldn't do the can-can in act 2! "look at me bitches I'm a gimmick!" Please. So I've decided to have a sense of humor about it. Ha ha bloody ha ha. The Achilles...

It's that time of the year! As we reap all the awesomeness we've sown let's plant a few more seeds of hope. Kageno means a place of hope. If you're not in NYC for this year's benefit you may certainly contribute a bit of cash! I'll be running around the event trying to not sound like a used car salesman :) keeping us all on time (you know who you are) :) and trying to raise a bit of $$$ for a great org. Be back in LA soon.

I've been a bit remiss about posting my performance schedules, but I'm still everywhere :) Especially this Sunday the 16th I'm co-producing the performers' stage for INSTALL:Weho. A pop-up art installation behind the West Hollywood Library. I personally go on at 3 (I think) but all the performers are amazing (ok 80%) and the art that's taking over 10 U-Haul trucks sound super cool! Swing by in you're in LA or just wish me luck if you're not. the story I'm doing is called High-Falootin Mama Jama. It's about a young boy who reads his first Penthouse! Thought you might like to check out a couple of pages for Equinox the graphic novel that's taking FOREVER to finish :) Here we have Scorn praying for vengeance (by the lovely Shanna Beauchamp) and Grace trying not to mourn ( by the also lovely Angie Light)! This project has been so much harder than I thought it would be. BUT phase 1 is almost done and I think the other 3 phases won't take me 2 years to complete:) I'll post some of Demeter and Hades soon!...
