The up-side to being in rehearsals that require a lot of movement is you loose weight AND become much more flexible because you HAVE to stretch out everyday just to do the damn thing! Although I can no longer do 6o’clock kicks nor can I do a split, my hip flexibility is kind of awesome! I set my heel on the top of the speakers (over 5′ tall) and collapse over the leg. Come on, I’m over 40 that’s gotta count for something! If we extend the play, a year from now I’ll be throwing those 6’s! (a 6 o’clock kick is when your leg goes straight up, like you have to make sure you don’t kick your nose, and thus you look like 6 o’clock. Dancer steps are obviously named . They have to be. jk:)
