Re-write approved for Dr. Tina

No rest for the wicked or talented I guess :) Our initial pilot/concept for Dr. Tina went well, but they wanted a slightly more linear version. I was skeptic because, well it SO needs to be non-linear. But we re-thought it and I re-wrote it and now it's seems to have a nice balance of linear plot with complete random and nonsense. WHAT? David writing a piece whose narrative leads to cra-cra land? NEVER! ha ha It's actually pretty funny. Can't wait to see what my amazing actors do with it next week. VO here we go!...

CURTAIN UP!

So we had our first preview. YIKES! A few technical snafus mostly to poor sweet Rebecca! No opening cue so she didn't know when to start the show. Her mic fell off. Her mic fell off again. I almost ran into her once. Having said that, it still was entertaining and a lot of fun. The audience laughed a lot. Even during the dance which was supposed to be serious. Oh Well...

Streeeeetch

The up-side to being in rehearsals that require a lot of movement is you loose weight AND become much more flexible because you HAVE to stretch out everyday just to do the damn thing! Although I can no longer do 6o'clock kicks nor can I do a split, my hip flexibility is kind of awesome! I set my heel on the top of the speakers (over 5' tall) and collapse over the leg. Come on, I'm over 40 that's gotta count for something! If we extend the play, a year from now I'll be throwing those 6's! (a 6 o'clock kick is when your leg goes straight up, like you have to make sure you don't kick your nose,...
